Do What The Pros Do. Eat Like A climate Champion. (#16)
What if you could perform at your best, get super healthy, avoid chronic disease, and combat climate change just by changing your diet? Too good to be true? Perhaps. But world-class athletes are increasingly proving it’s possible.
They’re moving to a plant-based diet. That means no meat, dairy, eggs, or honey.
In this week’s episode, I’m trying it too. It’s my 30 Day Great American Vegan Challenge, and I’m testing it intentionally in December, notoriously the most gluttonous month of the year.
I figure if I can eat vegan for December without starving or feeling deprived, I stand a good chance of keeping this climate-friendly diet going come the new year.
Besides, the world is changing, and I want to see how easy it is for me to change with it. After all, these days, if you want a quick vegan meal on the go, your best bet might be Burger King, home of the Impossible Whopper, the new, tasty plant-based burger.
McDonald’s and Wendy’s are also testing plant-based burgers for their menus. Indeed, it’s a brave new plant-based world, and I’m going to see how easy it is to embrace.
