The Most Comprehensive Plan To Reverse Global Warming (#3)

Oct 16, 2019

“If we were all coming to climate action from more of a place of excitement and passion and playing big – we would be more powerful.” – Katharine Wilkinson

My guest today is Katharine Wilkinson, Vice President of Communications and Engagement at Project Drawdown, a research organization focused on analyzing and identifying potential solutions to global climate change. She is the author of Between God & Green and the Senior Writer of the New York Times bestseller, Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and Environmental Studies from The University of the South and a doctorate in Geography and the Environment from Oxford University.

Katharine joins me to discuss why the climate change crisis requires courage and “bold hearts.” She explains how she maintains her courage to continue her efforts in reversing global warming and how Drawdown inspires communities to increase awareness and discussions around climate change and the environment. She also discusses the connection between the global population and environmental concerns and how fundamental women’s rights and gender equality can make a difference for the environment.
