The Climate Change Thankfulness Show (#14)

Nov 26, 2019

“The more we can hyper-localize our food consumption and get off our dependence on meat consumption – that combo is a climate change busting powerhouse.” – Josh Dorfman

I am an optimist when it comes to climate change. I suspect that’s the American in me that believes there’s always a way to win.

While I believe climate change is the generational-defining challenge of our time. I also think it holds the potential to foster an economy that is vibrant and healthy and genuinely sustainable.

So, this week I decided to use the podcast to express thanks for the heroes and innovators and innovations that exemplify humanity’s irrepressible creativity and sheer determination to build that better world.

I know we’re on the clock in the race to zero emissions. And I realize it will require even more will, grit, and perseverance to get there.

But for now, on this Thanksgiving, I’m reminding myself to give thanks and appreciate the tenacity and determination of the countless entrepreneurs, scientists, business leaders, factory workers, policymakers, and nonprofit leaders who are in the trenches working tirelessly to see that we do.
